Customer Service Representative - New Tazewell Office
A position for a Customer Service Representative is open, effective immediately.
Responsibilities include:
*Receives and receipts cash payments from customers for electric accounts; takes requests for connections, disconnections and transfers; and confers with customers by phone or in person, while adhering to cooperative standards.
*Greets visitors, answers inquiries or complaints and/or directs grievances to designated departments for investigation.
*Prepares cash and checks for deposit.
*Sustains high level of customer contact.
*Performs all other duties as directed by appropriate authority.
Education and experience:
A High School Diploma or equivalent, or experience required. Must be able to read accurately and write legibly, perform data entry, have experience using software such as Excel, Outlook and Word, possess clear and accurate communication skills both verbal and written and perform mathematical computations. Previous experience is desirable.

Director of Engineering
A position for Director of Engineering is open, effective immediately. The position objectives are:
To manage long and short-range system planning design and electrical distribution facility construction; to complete load forecasting to ensure adequate facilities are in place; and to determine the need, specifications and configurations to procure and implement technology-based solutions to aid in the management of transmission, substation, distribution, metering and mapping.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is required. A Professional Engineering license from the state of Tennessee or Virginia is preferred. A minimum of five-plus years of proven experience in the electrical utility industry is required. Proficiency required in all aspects of electrical distribution lines, sub-transmission lines, substations, metering and services. The individual in this position must hold thorough knowledge and skills concerning computer hardware and software used by the Cooperative.
Residency requirements include residing within 45 minutes of home office due to the position being subject to after hours and/or emergency call-out.
