What’s Changing?

Effective October 1, 2025, overall rates will increase by 1.25%. This includes updates to the monthly

Customer Charge:

• Residential & Small Commercial Members: increase of $2 per month
• Large Commercial Members: increase of $5 per month
• Industrial Members: increase of $10 per month

Why Is This Necessary?

• Rising Operational Costs: Expenses related to infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and compliance with regulatory requirements have grown. To continue delivering the high level of service our members expect, a rate adjustment is required.
• Financial Health & Future Investment: Maintaining a strong financial position allows us to invest in future technologies, enhancements, and maintenance that benefit the entire cooperative.

What Is a Customer Charge?

The Customer Charge is a fixed monthly fee that covers essential service costs, including:

• Equipment purchases (e.g., meters, poles, transformers)
• Right-of-way clearing and facility maintenance
• Administrative costs such as billing, printing and mailing

These expenses ensure every member receives dependable electric service, regardless of energy use.

What This Means for You

Last year, the average residential member used 1,044 kilowatt-hours per month, resulting in a monthly bill of $126.79. With this adjustment, the average bill will increase to $128.79 – a difference of $2 per month.

We understand that even modest increases can be challenging. This decision was not made lightly. It reflects our commitment to:
