Making every dollar count
In most households, there is the same dilemma — money. While you work every day to craft the perfect budget and balance, know that Powell Valley Electric Cooperative is doing the same.
At PVEC, every financial decision carries a deep responsibility because the people we serve are also the same people who own and lead us. Electric cooperatives operate at cost and not for profit. Any funds remaining at the end of the year are returned to the community through local initiatives that improve members’ lives.
One way that is accomplished is investment in local infrastructure. Through our members’ investments, we can perform system upgrades, reliability improvements and grid modernization — each with the goal of maintaining the safest, most affordable and reliable electricity and internet access.
Another way profits are returned to the members is through our member-focused programs. We offer levelized billing and multiple payment options to meet every household’s needs.
PVEC, and co-ops around the world, operates according to the same set of core principles, and one of those is “Members’ Economic Participation,” which means members contribute equitably to the capital of their cooperative.
PVEC is more than just your electric company — it’s a place where you can safely invest, and we assure you that we are making every dollar count.
